What is ‘The Unit’?
‘The Unit’ is a private training facility based in Oldham which is home to a small selection of passionate coaches and personal trainers. Here you will find a friendly and welcoming environment catering for all fitness abilities. Personal Training sessions and a range of classes take place daily with a dedicated coach.

How often do I need to exercise?
In an ideal world, 2-3 times per week would be a good balance for fat loss and body recomposition (building muscle whilst losing fat). However, at MiFiT we recommend the number of sessions you can realistically start with. If that is 1-2, then that is a great start.

What is included in Personal Training?
A comprehensive screening process including but not limited to; physical assessments, body composition analysis, lifestyle & medical questionnaires. From this, a dedicated plan tailored to you and your specific goals is then delivered with the personal & professional service. At MiFiT, we meet you where you are now, and guide you to where you want to be by teaching you how to train safely and effectively.

Can I train with a friend or partner?
Yes of course, you can train with a partner and reduce the cost if you share a similar goal; fat loss/build muscle/’tone up’. Training with a friend or partner helps to keep each person accountable and promotes healthy competition.

What is Hybrid Training?
Hybrid training is the combination of Personal Training sessions at The Unit and Online Coaching; The Self-Made Method. This option is very popular with clients local to the Oldham area who want the ‘In-person’ experience with all the additional support outside of the gym using the MiFiT Personal Trainer Coaching app.

If I lift weights, will I get bulky?
Absolutely not. The myth has been around for many years. Women do not have the genetic make up to become ‘bulky’ after lifting weights. Years of dedicated heavy weight lifting builds muscle over time. Lifting weights progressively will enable you to lose fat and achieve that ‘toned’ look which is a very popular goal for many women.
